Let's get you on the air.

ParkWatch watches POTA spots, flags parks and states you still need, and logs your contacts. First, who are you?

Your callsign

Used on logged QSOs and spots. You can leave it blank to auto-detect from your pota.app sign-in.

Your gridsquare optional

Your US license class

US amateurs: ParkWatch flags spots that fall outside your license class's privileges. Pick the class shown on your FCC license.

Step 2 — POTA account

Connect to pota.app.

ParkWatch reads your hunter awards through your pota.app sign-in — that's what powers the NEW PARK and NEW STATE flags. Nothing to type; just sign in once.

Open pota.app and sign in.
Come back here and check the connection.

Step 3 — QRZ Logbook optional

Push contacts to QRZ.

If you keep a QRZ Logbook, ParkWatch can upload each QSO automatically. Needs a QRZ XML subscription and your Logbook API key.

Step 4 — Station Master Pro optional

Send contacts to your logger.

ParkWatch can beam each QSO to Station Master Pro over the network. On this Mac, the helper that does it starts automatically — just test it below.

Keep 127.0.0.1 if Station Master runs on this computer; otherwise enter that computer's address on your network.

Step 5 — Rig control optional

Tune your radio to a spot.

ParkWatch can add a QSY button to each spot that tunes your rig instantly, over TCI. Start rig control in your TCI software first — in Station Master Pro, start Rig Control (TCI); in ExpertSDR, Options → TCI.

Step 6 — Alerts & spotting

Re-spotting bumps a station back to the top of everyone's list — some hunters consider routine re-spots poor etiquette. Off is the polite default; you can turn it on any time.
